Land Skills Training and Assessments Ltd are now offering a training package for anyone wanting to gain skills in ground-based tree work. This discounted training package includes training and assessment in the subjects commonly required by employers for anyone that needs to use chainsaws on the ground.
What is included.
Training, Equipment and PPE, Lantra Course registrations, City and Guilds NPTC assessments, and associated registration fees. NO HIDDEN FEES.

The training can be spread throughout the year on any of our scheduled course dates.

This is a discounted package, and all fees will need to be paid before the start of the first course.

Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998 (LOLER)
Is your equipment safe to use?
The LOLER require that kits are inspected regularly – every six months for climbing kits and annually for rigging kits.
Land Skills provide a thorough examination service for Arboricultural climbing and rigging equipment.
We also provide practical advice on how the regulations apply to arboriculture.

Two Rope Working at Height
Following recent meetings between our industry representatives and the HSE you may have heard of the need for changes to tree climbing operations in order to ensure compliance with the 2005 Work at Height Regulations. Primarily this involves the use of two separately anchored climbing lines for access and support. These changes need to be implemented with immediate effect. Lantra have issued this as mandatory guidance for all aerial courses and City and Guilds NPTC have stated that their assessors will expect candidates to do so during assessments.
Land Skills Training and Assessments Ltd are committed to improving safety within our industry and as such we will be offering update training to tree climbers already holding Climbing and Rescue certification. Keep an eye on our website and social media for new course dates in the New Year.
